Whatever your personal diving goals are, I’d love to help you reach them.

In a GUE course you will be given the feedback and guidance you need to grow your personal skills and become an effective member of a diving team.

Check out the GUE courses I offer below.

Tech 1

Recent increased ocean exploration at greater depths has revealed a variety of hidden treasures, including deep pristine reefs, well-preserved wrecks, and valuable historical artifacts. However, venturing deeper bears inherent risks that can be mitigated with proper training, knowledge, teamwork, and gradual experience.

The GUE Tech 1 course prepares ambitious divers to begin their path to technical diving safely, with confidence, and with a base of solid skills and knowledge. This course also paves the way to GUE rebreather courses, to advanced technical GUE training, and to GUE project and exploration diving

Fundamentals

The GUE Fundamentals course is by far GUE’s most popular program. It functions as a gateway into GUE training and it is an excellent way to personally experience what GUE is all about.

Some divers use the Fundamentals course as a way to improve on the less-than-optimal training they have received during traditional fast-track entry-level courses. Others see the course as a ticket to participate in GUE projects and activities. Many technical divers and even experienced instructors from other organizations use the course to improve basic skills and gain access to GUE’s cave and tech-training. It is not uncommon to have divers with very diverse backgrounds in the same class, which makes this course completely unique in the diving industry. Everybody will benefit, regardless of their current level of certification or experience. Graduating this course with a pass is something to be proud of, as the quality of a GUE Fundamentals diver is recognized all over the diving world.

DPV 1 Diver

Being a diver means exploring new underwater territories, and with an underwater scooter (Diver Propulsion Vehicle - DPV) the exploration range can expand even further. Riding a scooter is not only fun, but it also allows divers to cover more distance with less effort, even carrying extra gear.

GUE’s DPV Level 1 course is designed to introduce divers to the skills and knowledge required to safely use Underwater Propulsion Vehicles (DPV) in open water environments.

Pre-requisite is a Fundamentals Rec pass or Recreational Diver 1.

Discover Diving

The most important decision is already made: you are reading this, which means you are interested. But what should you know before you begin your training to become a scuba diver?

First, try diving with your chosen GUE instructor without a commitment to a course. GUE’s Discover Diving program is designed as an introduction for individuals with no previous scuba diving experience. This program does not result in certification but can serve as an introduction to a course or as a standalone experience. This experience will show you what you are really signing up for, what the training will look like, and help you determine if you and the instructor are a good fit.

Supervised Diver

Are you interested in visiting the underwater world, but not quite sure how comfortable you’ll feel there? Get a taste of what it is like to be underwater with the Supervised Recreational Diver course with GUE.

This class teaches you all the basic skills required for a safe and comfortable dive while limiting the depth of your dives to 12m/40ft. Because of your limited experience, you will always be diving under the supervision of a dive professional.

Recreational Diver 1

Whether you are new to the diving world, you've taken a course outside of GUE before, or you’re looking to improve your skills after a few years of not diving, the GUE Recreational Diver 1 course is a great starting point. This course will build the foundations for your diving skills no matter what attracted you to diving.

Recreational Diver 3

You are hooked now; it is not a love for diving anymore, it is an obsession.

Reach your next diving goals by going to depths that require more skill and advanced breathing mixtures with the GUE Recreational Diver 3 course.

This is a limited decompression course structured to teach advanced diving skills, prepare divers for utilizing decompression cylinders with double tanks, and to breathe helium-based breathing mixtures appropriate for deeper recreational diving to 39 m/130 ft.

Doubles Primer

A Doubles Primer is a great option if you would like to explore the use of double (twinset) tanks for added redundancy and breathing gas volume. It’s also an excellent look into the world of GUE diving. This non-certification course does not require any previous GUE training.

Drysuit Primer

Everyone wants to be more comfortable while they dive! This is especially true in the cold waters of our Pacific North West. Learn how to safely and effective use a drysuit and discover how much warmer you can be. The Drysuit Primer is also a an excellent look into the world of GUE diving. This non-certification course does not require any previous GUE training.
